Cowboy Versus Samurai by Michael Golamco
The lives of the only two Asian Americans in the tiny town of Breakneck, Wyoming, are turned upside down when the beautiful Veronica Lee, a Korean American teacher from New York City, moves to town. Cowboy vs. Samurai is a romantic comedy that re-imagines the Cyrano de Bergerac story in which the nose is race. This production features actors Sun Mee Chomet (Macbeth), Kurt Kwan (who played the father in last year’s Yellow Face) and Sherwin Resurreccion (M. Butterfly).

The 39 Steps novel by John Buchan and adapted by Patrick Barlow
Combining spy thriller with farcical comedy and ingenious theatrical invention, The 39 Steps is an engaging, fast-paced whodunit that celebrates the magic of theater. Closely following the storyline of Alfred Hitchcock’s 1935 film, the play demands the sort of inventive, creative staging Joel Sass is known for. Most remarkably, the play’s more than 150 characters are brought to life by a cast of only four actors! LA CASA DE LOS ESPÍRITUS (HOUSE OF THE SPIRITS) by Isabel Allende
The often unjust politics of Latin America play out through three generations of the Trueba family in Caridad Svich’s adaptation of the epic, witty, and unforgettable novel by Isabel Allende. Marcela Lorca (Caroline, or Change, Guthrie Theater) directs a bilingual cast of ten in this song-filled theatrical feast, performed in Spanish and English (accessible to all via projected translations).
