Votenet, a national web site which offers a single access point for research facilities and other political resources and information presented the Shilepsky campaign web site with its coveted Award for Outstanding Political Web Site. Alan thanked web creator John Birrenbach of St. Paul for his design and volunteer efforts on the site. "John's talents really come through and it's nice to have Votenet acknowledge that," Shilepsky said. "Our web site is just one of the quality aspects of my campaign."

The Votenet award icon at the site provides a link between the Shilepsky and Votenet sites.
Alan Shilepsky also announces the endorsement of his campaign by Minnesota's largest minor political party - the Grassroots Party of Minnesota. The endorsement is the first time that a Reform Party candidate has been cross endorsed by another party in Minnesota. "I'm obviously pleased by the Grassroots endorsement," said Shilepsky. "I'm trying to build coalitions and give voice to many different groups. This shows that our message is getting out and that people are listening." The 1994 Grassroots Party candidate for Secretary of State received over 54,000 votes.
