For centuries, astrologers have used a kind of "symbolic shorthand" to write about astrological matters. These symbols, called glyphs, are simply an easy way to refer to planets, zodiac signs, aspects and other astrological concepts. I use these glyphs in many places throughout this site, so if you're not familiar with these symbols, here's a handy table of definitions to help you interpret them.
