Andreasen Wins First District DFL Endorsement
(Rochester - MN) Steve Andreasen received the endorsement of the Democratic Farmer Labor (DFL) Party today at a packed First Congressional District Convention in Rochester. Andreasen, a national security aide in the Clinton, Bush Sr. and Reagan Administrations, said the new First District needs a more independent voice in Congress.
Andreasen, who was endorsed on the first ballot, called on Democrats, moderates, and Independents to work together to provide the independent voice needed in the new First District.
Looking ahead to the election, Andreasen, said "We have the energy and enthusiasm, we are on the right side of the issues, and we understand how important this election is for Minnesotans."
Andreasen lives in Rochester. He is a national security consultant and is writing a book on nuclear weapons, arms control and missile defense policy.
